More snow and ice

Woke up to more snow and ice this morning. Not quite the srart to April 12 I was looking for. Down to the basement to hit the treadmill I guess.

Restarted the first chapter of most recent novel yesterday afternoon and hoping to gain a foothold in the plot.

Frightful Spring Weather

Workout routines are picking back up in the spring of this year, but the weather is trying to damper the inspiration. The 3 inches of snow mixed with the inch each of rain and sleet makes streets inpassable to the streetrunner.  The partially flooded basement makes treadmill runs interesting, but foot to tread won out in the end. (The first episode of The Sopranos helped.)

On The Road Again...

First run in over 4 months. A blustery spring morning at maybe 20 degrees. My lung hurt from the cold air gasped with each step. My body already questiong the physical exertion at 0500 in the morning, he road will be long to get me back into my running shape of last summer, but it began with one foot in front of the other, this morning, on a blustery spring morning.

Death of a website

Apparently, the company I went through for my website has expired my website and failed to inform me that it was coming, so brandonmcollett.com no longer exists. Right now, I am shopping for a new cyber spot and actually think I may go with google sites as it would tie in nicely with my blog. Stay tuned for new information...

I have the POWER!!!

Power supply came in today.  I am reunited with my laptop, like a long lost friend.  TIME TO WRITE!!!

It is a difficult enough undertaking to write a novel, but with a laptop that has no power and only really being able to write while away from home, it is superbly more challenging.

Alas, it has been a while.  Life has been chaos, good chaos for the most part, but chaos nonetheless.  I am now the father of 3 beautiful boys under the age of 5.  If that doesn't answer the chaos question enough, I don't know what does.

Writing:  I have started a new writing project and am actually making some headway on it.  I am following a process that I found online by another author.  I am not sold on it as of yet, but I figure if it helps me to completion, then that is what I am truly looking for.  It will give me that edge that I have been looking for. 

New project is set in the future but not a futuristic piece.  Basically, with our plugged-in society, people have lost their imagination and therefore forgotten how to dream.  Edgarson Humbolt is the best in his trade as he is an Author of Dreams.  People seek him out and he writes a dream for them and they take a powder before going to sleep and have the dream they've requested.  Of course there is a built in love interest that takes a twist and I hope makes for exciting reading.

I am still working on the outline and character sketches for the piece, but hope to begin work on it soon.  As always, I will try to get on here more regularly and update my progress.
